Laptop & MacBook Repair in London
Windows laptops and Apple MacBooks come off the same bench here. A cracked panel, a keyboard that drowned in coffee, a machine that spins its fans and never boots — these are the jobs our engineers see every week, and most of them are cheaper to fix than to replace.
We start every laptop job with a free diagnostic, because the symptom rarely names the fault. A MacBook that will not charge might need a DC-in board, a battery, or nothing more than a port clean. A laptop that crawls might need an SSD, more RAM, a thermal service, or a clean OS install. You get the finding and the price before we touch a screw.
Data is treated as the priority throughout. We do not wipe drives as a shortcut, and where a drive is failing we will tell you before we do anything that could make recovery harder. Back up first if the machine still boots — we will remind you at intake either way.
What we fix & what it costs
Pick a repair to book a slot, or walk in and we will confirm the price before starting.
Prices for these repairs depend on the exact device and fault, so we quote them on the bench after a free diagnostic rather than publishing a number we cannot stand behind.

Why Smart Fix Plus
Laptop & MacBook Repair FAQs
Do you repair MacBooks as well as Windows laptops?
Yes. Our engineers work on Apple MacBook Air and MacBook Pro alongside Windows laptops from Dell, HP, Lenovo, Asus, Acer and others. Screens, keyboards, batteries, charging boards, storage and board-level faults are all handled in-house at 454 Kingsland Road.
My laptop is very slow — can you fix it without wiping it?
Usually, yes. Our laptop and PC performance service strips the machine down, clears accumulated dust, cleans the cooling fans and replaces the thermal paste, then checks for software causes, failing storage and background load. A wipe is a last resort, not a starting point.
How much does a laptop screen replacement cost?
It depends on the panel — size, resolution, touch and refresh rate all change the part price, and MacBook Retina assemblies cost more than a standard laptop panel. Bring the machine in or send us the exact model on WhatsApp and we will price it properly rather than guess.
Can you recover files from a laptop that will not turn on?
Often, yes. If the fault is the board, the charger circuit or the display, the drive itself is usually intact and we can recover the data. If the drive itself has failed, recovery is harder and we will be straight with you about the odds before you spend anything.
Do you install Windows and software?
Yes — clean Windows installation, driver setup, update repair and general software work. Tell us what the machine needs to do and we will advise on the fastest route to getting it there.
